Establish default Inventory settings and preferences
- Warehouse
Multiple warehouses - activates the use of tracking different inventory items with option of having different costs and selling prices, and at different locations with the ability to run inventory, purchase and sales analysis reports on each warehouse separately
- Receiving / Transfers
Post Adjustments to G/L - when inventory adjustments or warehouse transfers are performed, a transaction will be posted to the General Ledger
- assign the Default Adjustment Account that the adjustments will be captured in
- Transfer Markup Account - when using the markup feature to increase the cost when transferring Inventory from one warehouse to another
- Default Markup Percentage for creating a new Inventory Item, when the cost is input, the selling price will calculate based on this percentage - this can be changed at the time of entering the new Inventory item
Save landed costs - values for Duty / Freight entered on a Purchase Order line will be saved for that Inventory item to populate all future Purchase Orders
Update current cost from adjustment will update the Current Cost in the Inventory details when using the ‘Adjust’ utility
Update current cost from transfer will update the Current Cost in the Inventory details when using the ‘Transfer’ utility
- Serialized Inventory
Use Serialized Inventory activates identification at Item level
Serialized Upon receipt allows assigning the Serial Number to the Inventory item when it is received, as opposed to when it is sold
Use serial / lot number costing - will assign a cost for each serial number as it is received at, whereby when the serial number is selected in a Sales Order, the related cost will be used for Cost of Goods Sold / Inventory

Use serial / lot number selling - will assign a selling price for each serial number as it is received, whereby when the serial number is selected in a Sales Order, the related selling will be used
