INSTALLATION / SETUP - Archive

Create an Archive of Accounts (Users), Media (pictures and attachments), and Reports, along with the data for the selected company into a compressed file, so all these can be restored at once.  This is an alternative to creating Snapshots (data only)

Access - Tools > Server Administration

  • create an Archive
      ServerAdminArchive-1
    • select the Export tab
    • Select Options - click on items to be omitted from this Archive:
      • Accounts (Users)
      • Media (pictures and attachments),
      • Custom Reports
    • click Create Archive
      • an Archive zip file will be created in c:\ProgramData\Spire\Snapshots, with the date and time the Archive was created, as part of the file name
    • restore from an Archive

      • select the Import tab
      • click Upload Archive File to locate and upload the Zip file

                     ServerAdminArchiveImportUploadArchive

        • option to CheckBoxCheckedGreen Restore archive file after upload
      • click Upload
      • option to  CheckBoxCheckedBlack select from the list of previously uploaded Archive files and click Upload Restore
    • once the Restore process is complete, it will create a new database ID, populate all data and other included files, and appear in the Companies list
